Our 300km August Running Challenge

At Enable and Thrive Ltd, community is at the heart of everything we do. As a solicitor-led support service for vulnerable and elderly adults, we see firsthand how local services and charities are often the lifeline for those who need help the most. That’s why, this August, our team is coming together with a collective mission: to run 300km and raise funds for a cause very close to our hearts – Sage House Dementia Hub in Tangmere, West Sussex.

Why Supporting Local Charities Matters – And How We're Running the Extra Mile

Why Local Charities Need Our Support

Local charities often operate quietly in the background, filling crucial gaps left by overstretched services. They are deeply rooted in the communities they serve, providing tailored support, creating safe spaces, and offering a human touch that national systems can’t always reach. Yet, despite their vital role, many face chronic underfunding and rely heavily on donations to survive.

Sage House is one such charity. As a dementia hub, it offers specialist care, advice, and support to individuals living with dementia and their families. From day-to-day practical guidance to emotional support, Sage House plays an essential role in helping people live well with dementia, something that aligns powerfully with our own mission at Enable and Thrive.

The 300km Challenge

Throughout August, our team will be lacing up our running shoes and hitting the pavement, trails, and treadmills to collectively run 300 kilometres. This challenge is not about fitness, it’s about solidarity, raising awareness, and giving back.

Every kilometre we run represents a step toward better support for people living with dementia. With each donation, we aim to help Sage House continue their incredible work and ensure they can be there for every family that needs them.

How You Can Help
